PlayOn works with a variety of devices to deliver content from the internet to your TV!
Own one of the devices listed below? Then you have the right companion for PlayOn! All you need to do now is just download PlayOn, install it on your PC, browse to the PlayOn media server from your device, and you'll be watching internet content on your TV before you know it!
PlayOn works on the following devices.

- Wii - view setup instructions | view demo for Wii
- After you have installed PlayOn on your PC, be sure to start PlayOn on your PC by clicking on 'Start' under the General Settings tab in PlayOn settings if it is not already running.
- Go to your Wii gaming console, and be sure you have the Internet Channel, available on the Wii Shopping Channel if you don't already have it.
- Once the Internet Channel is active use your Wii to navigate to wii.playon.tv and you are ready to begin streaming content.
Here's a tip: Save it as a Favorite for easy access in the future. Just click on the "Favorites" button (star) of the browser's onscreen tool bar. Click on the "Add Favorite" icon along the bottom. "Wii.playon.tv" will now be added to your Favorites.

- After you have installed PlayOn on your PC, be sure to start PlayOn on your PC by clicking on 'Start' under the General Settings tab in PlayOn settings if it is not already running.
- You can find the PlayOn server(s) by searching under the Dashboard > Video > My Video Apps > Video Player.
- You must be in the Video section to view online videos. Note, the PlayOn Media Server(s) will appear in My Music Apps as well, but it will contain no online videos.

- After you have installed PlayOn on your PC, be sure to start PlayOn on your PC by clicking on 'Start' under the General Settings tab in PlayOn settings if it is not already running.
- The PlayOn Server can be found under the XrossMediaBar > "Video". Make sure "Media Server Connection" is enabled under Settings > Network Settings.
- Make sure you have the latest system update installed on your PS3.
- Make sure your PS3 has a network connection to the same home network router that your PlayOn PC is connected to.
- iPhone - view setup instructions | view demo for iPhone
In order to use PlayOn on your iPhone or iPad, you will need to have both PlayOn installed and running on your PC and the PlayOn Mobile app which is is available as a free download from the iTunes store.
- Once you have both the PlayOn media server installed (on your PC) and the iPhone app installed (on your iPhone), start PlayOn on your PC by clicking on 'Start' under the General Settings tab in PlayOn settings if it is not already running.
- Launch the iPhone app while you are on the same network as your PC running PlayOn. You should see the name of your PC appear up on your iPhone.
- Select your PC and you will see a list of available PlayOn content channels which you can navigate on your iPhone. Next, take the following steps to "pair" your phone with the PlayOn server and activate the ability to watch PlayOn remotely over Wi-Fi or anywhere over 3G.
- Open up Playon settings on your PC, click on the Mobile Access tab, and check the box to Enable PlayOn Mobile Access.
- Please be sure that your computer is not set to sleep. If your computer is sleeping you will not be able to access PlayOn.
- You should now automatically connect to your PC from other Wi-Fi networks, or even over 3G.
- iPad - view setup instructions
In order to use PlayOn on your iPhone or iPad, you will need to have both PlayOn installed and running on your PC and the PlayOn Mobile app which is is available as a free download from the iTunes store.
- Once you have both the PlayOn media server installed (on your PC) and the iPhone app installed (on your iPhone), start PlayOn on your PC by clicking on 'Start' under the General Settings tab in PlayOn settings if it is not already running.
- Launch the iPhone app while you are on the same network as your PC running PlayOn. You should see the name of your PC appear up on your iPhone.
- Select your PC and you will see a list of available PlayOn content channels which you can navigate on your iPhone. Next, take the following steps to "pair" your phone with the PlayOn server and activate the ability to watch PlayOn remotely over Wi-Fi or anywhere over 3G.
- On the PlayOn PC's home screen on your iPhone, select the Add a PlayOn PC Manually button, then click save.
- Open up Playon settings on your PC, click on the Mobile Access tab, and check the box to Enable PlayOn Mobile Access.
- Please be sure that your computer is not set to sleep. If your computer is sleeping you will not be able to access PlayOn.
- You should now automatically connect to your PC from other Wi-Fi networks, or even over 3G.
- Android phone (Requires OS 2.2) - view setup instructions
In order to use PlayOn on your Android 2.2, 2.3, or 3.0 devices, you will need to have both PlayOn installed and running on your PC and the Adobe Flash Player and PlayOn Mobile app, which is available as a free download from the Android market. You may choose to use the web app instead by browsing to "m.playon.tv" in the default Android web browser.
Setting up PlayOn on your PC
- Launch PlayOn from the Start Menu. Open PlayOn settings by double-clicking on the PlayOn icon in your task tray.
- Next, in order to enable the use of PlayOn with your Android phone or device, click on the "Mobile Access" tab and check "Enable Mobile Access".
- Some PlayOn channels such as Netflix, Pandora, Hulu and more may require your credentials in order to view that content. To enter your credentials, select the "Channels" tab and add your information there.
- Start the PlayOn Media Server by clicking on the "Start" button under the General Settings tab if you have not already done so.
Setting up your Android device
- Download the PlayOn Mobile app from the Android Market.
- While PlayOn is running on your PC, open the app on your device. Make sure that you are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC.
- Next, you must "pair" your device with your PC. On the first screen of the app, you should see your copy of PlayOn listed — it will have the same name as your PC. Select your PC and a menu of PlayOn channels should appear. Now that your device is "paired" with your PlayOn PC, you should now be able to watch PlayOn anywhere, either over Wi-Fi or 3G.
- Roku - view setup instructions
In order to get the PlayOn channel on your Roku, go to https://owner.roku.com/Add/MYPLAYON and add the private channel code MYPLAYON. Follow the simple instructions that will be provided once the code is entered and that's all there is to it. Now sit back and enjoy PlayOn on your Roku!
- Google TV - view setup instructions
- On your GoogleTV type g.playon.tv into the search bar (on the Logitech Revue you find this by clicking the magnifying glass on the bottom, left of the keyboard). This will bring you to the page that discovers your PlayOn PC. You should bookmark this page for easy access (on the Logitech Revue, you can bookmark a page by pressing the star-shaped icon button on the bottom, right of the keyboard).
- You can now navigate PlayOn via the touchpad on the keyboard. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your favorite show.
Known issues: The back button on the keyboard will work, however the play and pause buttons on the keyboard will not work. You will need to use the on-screen controller for those trick-play features which you can get by using the trackpad to move the cursor over the bottom of the screen.
- Kindle Fire - view setup instructions
First, you have to disable web browser acceleration:
- Tap the menu button within the Silk Browser.
- Tap Settings
- Toggle Accelerate Page Loading to off. You will need to scroll down a bit to find the option.
Then, just go to m.playon.tv in your Silk browser while you're on the same network as your PlayOn PC. You'll see the PlayOn menus on your Kindle Fire. Once you have a first play you should be able to play videos from your PlayOn install even when you're on a remote Wi-Fi network. Once you watch a video on your home Wi-Fi, if you have Mobile Access enabled in PlayOn Settings, you should be able to play videos from PlayOn even when your Fire's on a remote Wi-Fi network.

Under the "Video" section of the CInemaTube menu, select the "UPnP" option. You will then see all of the UPnP-enabled devices and media servers available on your network. PlayOn will appear as "PlayOn (Your PC's Name)".

PlayOn will also work on a number of other DLNA-compliant devices.
